Captain John K. Cooper

Captain John K. Cooper received his Captain's License in 1998. A boat owner since 1969, John has long admired the adventure of the sea. His current boat "Sarah Bess" a 43 foot Beneteau Oceanis 430 is docked at Pierpointe Marina in Sodus Point, NY. His extensive sailing experience includes the Caribbean, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico, Florida Keys, the Great Lakes, the New York State Canal System, along the Hudson River and open-ocean sailing from Saint Thomas, USVI to Norfolk, VA.

Since the spring of 2005 John has captained supply boats servicing off-shore oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.

John has also been president of Upstate Steel Structures since 1990, a commercial construction company specializing in a pre-engineered steel buildings
